After his previous incarnation was hit by a speeding bus, the Doctor found himself with another new body; one with dirty blonde hair, poor eyesight and fingers that seemed a little bit too long for his own comfort. Nevertheless, the Doctor learnt to love his new body, well, not love – but he did tolerate it. Donning a old tweed blazer that looked slightly yellow; a bow-tie; a jumper rather reminiscent of the style his Seventh incarnation wore; and a pair of checkered trousers, he looked brilliantly nerdy and awkward - just how he liked it. This new Doctor set of to find a new companion and save the universe once again. To top of his eccentric look - to deal with his poor eyesight - the Doctor found himself a pair of glasses in the TARDIS, which were coincidentally the perfect prescription. Fancy that, eh?
This Doctor was rather uncomfortable in many of the situations he was put into. He often spoke, mumbled and even sung to himself - and he had the tendency to break into monologue - afterwards exclaiming 'Sorry - I have a lot to say'. However, underneath his awkward manner and clumsy exterior – this Doctor was a soft-y at heart, and cared very deeply for everyone he met during his travels. This Doctor also had a love for music, he could often be heard whistling to himself, and when he gets bored he find nothing more satisfying that playing on his trusty harmonica. He met Huw Grante when he was stealing some dragon-bones from the dinosaur exhibition at the Natural History Museum in London. Huw and the Doctor battled villains such as the dastardly Adipose, the horrifying Zarbi, and the worst of them all – the twins from The Twin Dilemma. Yeah – we aren't sure why either. The Doctor and Huw are still travelling the universe together, tackling every villain they come across, saying 'you're welcome' to the universe again and again. |
